Come with us on our maiden surf trip to Australia in March 2009!!

We are excited to announce that our first surfing holiday to Australia will be departing from the UK in Mid March 2009 for  4 weeks. 

An hour's drive from Brisbane lies a coastal strip of pristine golden sand beaches, tropical landscapes and shimmering waterways. Their are dozens of so called sunshine coasts but this is "the sunshine coast" average seven hours sunshine per day and is home to the fabled right points of Noosa Heads made up of five differant points which all differ slightly but all offer near perfect super long rides set in the tropical landscape of Noosa National Park. The point brake waves of Noosa are rated as one of the worlds top four longboard waves, and is ideal for both beginners and experianced surfers and is heaven for longboarders, local longboarders often practise the time-honoured code of wave-sharing.Their are many uther good pointbreaks and fun beachbreaks in the Noosa area.

We visit from mid-March (4 weeks), the most consistent time for good swell conditions and the best waves of the year, and it's not in the Australian holiday season so their are less crowds, and with warm weather perfect waves and sea temperatures around 25c forget about wetsuits

Its a surf trip of a lifetime and one never to be forgotten. The tour will be run by Dan Rawsthorn senior BSA coach and assisting him with the coaching will be local longboard expert and senior coach Patrick Sweeney who set up the tours 10 years ago. We are not an agent sending you on to another school abroad, we take care of all your needs and surf, coach and live with you throughout your stay.

Australia Surf Trip   4 weeks   March / April  PRICE - £875   

Ideal for beginner, intermediate and experienced surfers.

Prices do not include flights, you are responsible for booking your own flight. We will give advice on the flights we are booking for our coaches around January.

Includes: Accommodation, breakfast, lunch and a couple of evening BBQ's each week, airport transfers, surf coaching and guidance throughout your holiday. Equipment can be provided if required.

Your West Coast Surfari Tour...

We will fly with you from th U.K to Australia. Our chosen region to stay is  Coolum Beach. We will share accommodation in a beach house a short walk from the surf breaks and shops/restaurants.

During your stay you will be coached to the level of your ability by Surf Tour Manager Dan Rawsthorn and Senior Coach Patrick Sweeney.

Why March / April ? ...

March and April are the middle of the cyclone season in Australia and it creates a wealth of swell on the points. Which results in perfect waves peeling down the many fantastic point breaks and tropical white sand beaches.Beautiful weather temperatures of around 25 - 30 degrees daily and never a wetsuit needed! Early autumn in Australia is mid - low season for tourists so we get the pick of the best accomodation and less crowds.

Whilst on your Tour ...

We will be taking day trips to a number of different attractions such as Australia Zoo, home of the late Steve Irwin, Sea World on the Gold Coast and some of the many local cultural markets and plantations. We will organise these days out around the swell and weather conditions so as not to miss the best surf. These days out will be optional for you to join.

What to bring on your surf holiday

• Check with your health centre for vaccinations that may be required
• Little and basic baggage is best
• One bag or large travel size backpack
• Surf clothing, good boardshorts & swimwear
• One or two boards in one board bag if you have them otherwise we will provide you with a 9ft foam board whilst out there. Wax & Leashes
• A pillow and sleeping bag
• Valid passport with at least 6 months travel time left on it. Check with your travel agant on any visa requirements
• Personal travel insurance. We will require proof of this. Boots and the Post office may be able to help you as well as your local insurance broker. Please aim to get sufficient cover for your equipment.
• Sterling traveller’s cheques or Australian dollar currency, debit & credit cards are widely accepted and make it very easy to withdraw cash.
• You must inform us of any medical condition prior to booking.
• Check you have adequate supplies of any medication you may require whilst out there. Order repeats to arrive in time prior to your departure. Spare contact lenses if you are a wearer and a spare pair of glasses doesn’t go a miss.
• Pack comfortable summer clothing plus lots of sun supplies
• A good book and a MP3 player!
