Welcome to West Coast Surfari - Watergate Bay's Original Surf School
A little bit about us....
West Coast Surfari also run the O'Neill Surf Academy and have been Watergate Bay's original surf school for over 15 years
Based at Watergate Bay, just on the outskirts of Newquay we offer a variety of all ability surf courses in a safe, fun and relaxed atmosphere. We take great pride in personalising all our surf courses, and provide some of the smallest Instructor:Student ratios of any surf school in the area!
OUR FACILITIES
We have a wonderful base located in the downstairs of the Phoenix and next to the Gone Feral Surf Shop just 100 metres from the sand at Watergate Bay. We have a wonderful indoor surf lounge where you can relax, watch a surfing move and browse through our magazines before and after your session. With hot drinks available on arrival and dining facilities on site for after your lesson our packages are put together with your comfort in mind. We also have changing facilities, toilets and storage area for your personal items whilst your in your lesson.
At our Surf School safety is paramount! We also have the luxury of being able to adapt to ever changing surf conditions with our mobile surf school - Whatever the surf we find you the best surfing conditions to suit you ability according to the surf conditions and tides. We always meet and greet at our base in Watergate Bay and we'll aim to stay here whenever possible, but it's always assessed with your benefit in mind. Occasionally we venture on a true Surf Surfari to find you the best waves the North Cornish Coast has to offer! Whether you are a complete beginner or advanced surfer, we style our surf lessons to suit your requirements!
