Our local beaches around Newquay and Padstow have a long surfing history dating back to the 1930's. With long sandy beaches, warm water and great surf there's no better place to learn to surf in the UK.

You can enjoy a huge variety surfing lessons and courses with some of the country's top surf instructors with West Coast Surfari at the beautiful Watergate Bay. We're open all year and offer lessons for every ages and ability of surfer.

HALF DAY INTRO SURF LESSON

This Course is a great introduction to Surfing!

TIMES: 09.30 - 12.30 or 13.30 - 16.30

Our expert Instructors will take you through an Introduction to surfing skills & techniques. The lesson lasts for half a day but you will be surprised what you can achieve in this time. These group lessons are a fun and effective way to get a taste for surfing or improve upon your basic skills, and learn new ones. Bring your friends, and make new ones along the way! Our half day courses can be tailored to any ability of surfer - if you're already riding the waves and would like to book more advanced group tuition just let us know!

FULL DAY SURF COURSE £45p.p

Gain an in depth insight into the principles and techniques of the sport of surfing with our professional instructors and coaches.

A complete & comprehensive day of surf coaching with our amazing team of coaches. This lesson lasts from 09.30 - 16.30. The day is broken down into 2 sessions with a short break for lunch. It's a great way to fine tune your skills under the guidance of your instructors throughout, giving you plenty to take away and practice! A quick crash course that will get you up to speed. Always available for all abilities from beginner to advanced surfer.

2 DAY SURF COURSE £80p.p

An intensive Crash Course in Surfing Skills and Techniques

2 full days of beach & water surfing coaching with our expert Instructors - coaching is given at your level helping you progress quickly! As you progress you will receive coaching to get you to the next step.  You will be amazed at how much you can learn and improve in just a couple of days!

WEEK LONG SURF COURSE £195p.p

A structured surfing course to help you achieve good surfing ability and water knowledge.

Join us for 5 day coaching course (thats 10 lessons) with regular refresher coaching as you advance through the lessons. You'll learn everything you need to get your surfing kickstarted - from surfing skills and techniques through to surf forecasting and fitness for surfing - it's all included in this course. You'll get to experience this great lifestyle first hand with these comprehensive surfing breaks.

Additional Information Regarding Surfing Courses/Lessons

Where will we be surfing? Most of our lessons are held at Watergate Bay. However, if surfing conditions are usuitable the surf school will move to a different beach location between Newquay and Harlyn Bay,Padstow. (Limited complimentary transport is available in this circumstance)

Do you run lessons on the weekends? Our Surf School is open 7 Days a Week between March & December.

How do I Book my Surfing Lessons? Our most popular O'Neill Group Surf Courses (as above) can be booked ONLINE using our booking system. You can also check availability online. You can also book by filling out our ENQUIRY FORM, or by giving us a call on 01841 520052. Our office is open 7 days a week from 9 - 5.

What are your Booking Terms & Conditions Like all activity providers pre booking is essential to reserve your place/s on a course. View our booking TERMS AND CONDITIONS HERE.

What do I need to bring?: All surf equipment is provided. You'll need a towel, sunscreen and some warm clothes. If you are with us for the day you may want to bring a packed lunch or some money for lunch. There are plenty of facilities at the beach for food etc.
